When I first walked through the doors at ETL I was 145.5kg, uncomfortable with myself and unhappy with the size I had become and the limitations that came with it. Fast forward 18 months I am 35.5kg down, climbed scafell pike and completed born survivor all of which I thought completely out of my ability to achieve.


I had previously tried to drop in weight and exercise but I found the diets too restrictive to effectively maintain and flat out did not feel comfortable in a gym environment. The ETL team helped me get my diet back under control and set me up with an easy to follow training routine, that made coming to the gym so much more enjoyable. Once I put off a little weight and built up my confidence, I decided to start their PT classes. These classes helped me push myself further and harder than I could have done on my own, and with a variety of different classes I was able to try different styles of training and exercises allowing me to find the style that suited me best.
Looking at where I am now compared to where I was, I cannot thank the great staff at ETL enough for their fantastic support and guidance. Always there to keep you right in a class and advice on how you can further improve your technique. This level of support has been instrumental in helping achieve a much happier and confident self.
